Freehand Sharpening Competition

Put on by Triple B Handmade and Steelport knives, this invitational competition challanges the participants to sharpen 3 knives in 3 10-minute rounds. The knives are tested on an industry-grade Edge-On-Up setup in 3 places which are then averaged. Averaged scores for each knife are then averaged together for the final score.

It was an absolute pleasure to be invited to join into the competition this year. Being able to talk shop with the leading figures in Portland is just an irreplaceable experience. I'm looking forward to next year!
